I’m going to sound negative when I say this, but consider it realism: What has happened to the state of men? I actually had a guy say to me recently; “who actually opens doors for a girl anymore?” I do, and so should you. The courtship and chivalry of yesteryear has rotted away into arrogance and vulgarity and I’m left here trying to think of the last time I heard a man referred to as ‘gallant’ or ‘gentlemanly’. I have seen guys having ‘conversations’ with girls and I can see that they are only listening for a chance to talk. It makes me sick. I know girls that have NEVER been given flowers. It’s more common than you think. The day I hear a man genuinely considered gallant and chivalrous, will be the day I can die happy.
